I finally got a chance to try this place! It's an absolutely beautiful atmosphere, and the staff is very nice and knows how to make a good drink. I had a bit of disappointment with the Panna pizza and spaghetti and meatballs, especially for the price, but I'll likely be back to try everything again because of how beautiful the place is and welcoming the staff was.

Outstanding meal at lL Pizzaiolo. The service was fantastic! The portions are very large, so come with an appetite. The homemade bread was outstanding! The experience at the restaurant is excellent and the atmosphere is calming and relaxing. The appetizers, a fried zucchini and the roasted red peppers and tomatoes were a little underwhelming and not quite as flavorful as I would have expected for the price. When it comes to the pasta, it is all made in house, light, fluffy and prepared as it should be! The lasagna was delicious, however, I felt it maybe could have used a little more red sauce. Large portions at a reasonable price! Highly recommended the Vestigo Montepulciano wine to accompany the food! Delicious! The lemon blueberry cheesecake was outstanding! I highly recommend trying this!

Il Pizzaiolo is the closest to authentic Italian that you’ll get in Pittsburgh! The pizza and pasta are excellent and you really can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.

Undeniably, the best lamb chops I’ve ever had. Although I have had many other dishes that were superb, like pasta, pizza, etc. I keep returning for the 8 tasty lamb chops and always have a delicious meal. I dream about returning for more!

Good food, the staff were all super friendly and the indoor atmosphere is nice. Food prices were ok to me but drink prices seemed a little high ($15 for a mixed drink). We'll be back to explore more menu items.

Beautiful decor, nice service, good food, but a bit pricey. Tried the following: - meatballs — juicy and tasty - Salsiccia pizza — dough tasted ok, but not very airy. Basically it only has sausage on it. Added olives and caramelized onions and that made a big improvement. Food came out quickly, and the service was very attentive. Pizza price is pricey ($25) for having only one topping, and getting charged additional $4 for adding onions and olives was a bit much. It’s a nice place with a nice patio, and the food is pretty good. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Il Pizzaiola, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service we received. From the moment we walked in, Leah, the hostess, made our group feel welcome and ensured our reservation was smoothly handled. She was warm, friendly, and efficient in getting us settled at our table. Sophia, our server, was equally impressive. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the experience even better with her thoughtful recommendations and attentive service. She checked in on us at the perfect times, and her friendly demeanor really made our evening special. The espresso martinis were hands down the best in the area, and the pizzas? Absolutely incredible. Each one was perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. Overall, the combination of great service from Leah and Sophia, along with the amazing food and drinks, made for a memorable night. We can’t wait to return!

WOW the first Italian restaurant we experienced in the Pittsburgh area that was clean, inviting, and had authentic food. We started with some drinks, their espresso martini is good. I can't say enough about Sean who was our bartender and server. A huge shoutout to Sean, the nicest person who accommodated my confusing requests. We decided to sample a plethora of dishes. We started with the arancini which was good, the Neapolitan was better than the Sicilian style (la mia famiglia è napoletana). We also ordered the Escarole, Beans, & Sausage which was very good. We have difficulties getting escarole where we are from so this was a nice treat for us. I was ecstatic that I was able to get fried pizza and Sean was so awesome about my order because I wanted it like when I was a child in Italy. Along with the fried pizza, I ordered the Pappardelle alla Funghi and my husband ordered the Veal Parmigiano. Both were delicious but the pappardelle was better than the veal but that's just our opinion. For dessert we had the tiramisu which we found to be the best we had in the area. Now the espresso, definitely very good. Overall, the was the BEST Italian we have experienced in the area. We wish we had found it the first week we were here but at least we found it! Thank you il Pizzaiolo for a wonderful dinner and the plethora of leftovers that I get to nosh on. Also Thank you Sean for making our evening enjoyable!
